Acteur en oud-voetballer Eric Cantona is naar Nederland gekomen om zijn nieuwe film 'Looking for Eric' te promoten.

De Fransman, die voetbalde bij onder meer Manchester United, speelt in de komedie van Ken Loach zichzelf.
Het was Cantona zelf die regisseur Ken Loach benaderde met het plan deze film te maken. Sinds 1998 is hij officieel acteur, maar een dragende rol had hij nog nooit gespeeld. Hij wilde weten of de door hem bewonderde Loach, Engels regisseur van sociaal-realistische films en winnaar van een Gouden Palm, niet met hem wilde werken.
